Elizabeth Carpenter Guthrie

January 31, 1922- February 28, 2017 Durham- Elizabeth Carpenter Guthrie, 95, died Tuesday, February 28. She was born in Durham, NC, the daughter of the late Marcus aneerner May Carpenter. She was preceded ineeath by her beloved husband of 62 years, Fred Guthrie, Jr., daughter Judy Guthrie Carmine, brother, Buck Carpenter, and grandson, Jordan Jones. She is survived by daughters, Jane Peele of Louisburg, Joyce Jones of FL, granddaughter Hannah King, grandson Caleb Peele, great-grandson Carter Petty, and sister, Marian Brackett. Elizabeth ???Lib??? was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed. A service will be held at the Hall-Wynne Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 3, at 2:00 pm, with burial to follow at Maplewood Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
