Elizabeth “Lib” Oakley Glasscock, 69, of Littleton, NC, passed away on February 25, 2021 at her residence.
She was employed with Montgomery Ward in the 1970’s. She retired from Duke after 20 plus years of service as a telephone operator in the Telecommunications building.
She is survived by her daughters, Frances Carter (Jessica “J”) and Pam Hall of the home; sons, Roy “Bubba” Glasscock of Trinity, NC and Michael Glasscock of Hillsborough, NC; sister, Darlene Rambeaut Wall (Buster) of Durham, NC; brother, Glenn Rambeaut (Sandra) of Creedmoor, NC as well as 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Lib was preceded in death by her parents, Elvis and Verline Rambeaut; brothers, Jerry and Jay Rambeaut and husbands, Carl “Goat” Oakley and William Marshall Glasscock.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Duke Cancer Center at 20 Duke Medicine Circle, Durham, NC 27710. Family will receive visitors at their home. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
