Eleanor Daniel Sigmon

OXFORD: Eleanor Daniel Sigmon, age 90, of 1666 Elam Currin Road, died, Friday, February 12, 2010. The daughter of the late Roy T. and Willie Lee Thomas Daniel, she was the widow of Johneewis Sigmon. She was a very active member of Enon Baptist Church where she served as organist and pianist, where she was also a member of the choir for many years. She enjoyed gardening and yard work up until her later years and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Enon Baptist Church by the Rev. James C. Shelly, Jr., Rev. Edward H. Daniel and Rev. Steven Brown. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Surviving is her daughter, Diana S. Morgan Jim of the home; a son, John T. Sigmon Linda of Oxford; 3 brothers, Roy T. Daniel, Jr. Lillian of Raleigh, Sanford Daniel of Oxford and Rev. Edward H. Daniel of Concord; 2 grandsons, Derek Morgan Laura; David Morganeelicia; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 grand dogs; 4 grand cats. She was preceded ineeath by a brother, Maynard Daniel. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Enon Baptist Church c/o Buck Adcock, 2115 Tommie Daniel Road, Oxford, NC 27565.
