Edna Carlisle Levy

Edna Carlisle Levy of Pittsboro died Saturday, September 15, 2007. She was 85. Mrs. Levy graduated from Newberry College and worked at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in the late 40's, where she met Milton Vaneess Levy; they were married in 1949. Following their marriage they lived in Maryland, and then moved to Framingham, Massachusetts, where she and Milton raised four children. They remained there until the late 1990's when they moved to Fearrington Village, Pittsboro, NC. Survivors include her children, Richard Vaneess Levy of Boxborough, MA, Susan Marie Levy of Pittsboro, Mark C. Levy of Malvern, PA, aneelizabeth Levy of New York, NY; brother, Charles Carlisle of Due West, SC; sister, Martha Wingard of Clemson, SC; and three grandchildren, Rachel Thomas-Levy, Kellen and Kate Fitzgerald-Levy. Friends may visit with the family on the evening of Tuesday, September 18, 2007 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Griffin Funeral Service in Pittsboro.
