Dr. Robert "Bob" Kunz

Dr. Robert ???Bob??? G. Kunz, Ph.D. PE, age 76, died Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Duke Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Louis J. and Ruth Crandall Kunz on neember 20, 1939. Bob was a Chemical Engineer who specialized in environmental issues. His professional career included work at Air Products and Chemicals, Esso Research aneengineering, and most recently consulting. Bob was the author of 2 technical engineering books, and multiple peer reviewed articles. Bob was a loving father and grandfather, he enjoyed spending time with his family and is most famous for his ???Grandpa Bob jokes???. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Maureeneeggs Kunz of Hillsborough, NC; his four children, Dr. Gregory Kunz and wife, Laurie, of San Diego, CA; Dr. Suzanne McIntyre and husband, Jeffrey, of Poolsville, MD; Roberta Fox and husband, Aneew, of Raleigh, NC; and Brian Kunz and wife, Kathy, of Allentown, PA; his brother, Philip Kunz of Mahopac, NY aneeleven grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Fr. Thanh Nguyen presiding. A reception in the parish hall will follow the mass. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W.
