Oxford, NC Dorothy Critcher Walker, age 95, died oneebruary 3, 2020. She was born to the late Willie Critcher and Frances Mangum Critcher oneeptember 13, 1924 in Granville County. Dorothy was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and a lifelong resident of Granville County. She was an active member of Tabb???s Creek Baptist Church; where she was the treasurer for 20 years, the first female deacon in the Church, a choir member and a devoted follower. Dorothy is survived by her son, James ???Jim??? Walker (Adria); her brother, James Harold Critcher (Norma Leigh); her granddaughter, Kimberly Walker Nabors (John) and great grandson, John Christopher Nabors, III. She is also survived by special family members, Brenda D. Currin; James T. Stone, Jr., (Christine) and their children, Kate, Emily, Molly; Adrianne S. Wegner, (Dave) and their children, Henry and Spencer and many nieces, nephews, family and friends too neerous to nee. Dorothy is predeceased by her parents; her late husband of 50 years, Frank Pettigrew Walker; her daughter, Joanne Walker Newton and her brothers, W. C. Critcher (Isabelle) and Waverly Nelson Critcher (Marion). Visitation for Dorothy will be held oneednesday, February 5, 2020 at 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Gentry ??? neell & Vaughan. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 2:00 pm officiated by Rev. Staneenkins with burial to follow in the church Cemetery. Tabbs Creek Baptist Church, 5609 Tabbs Creek Church Road, Oxford, NC.
