Dorothy Casey Eakes

RALEIGH - Dorothy Casey Eakes, 75, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Litchford Falls Healthcare Center in Raleigh. Born in Wayne County oneeptember 24, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Margaret Britt Casey. Mrs. Eakes worked at the NC Department of Motor Vehicles for 43 years and was a member of the National Fraternal Society of the Deaf. She was a long-time member of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Raleigh. Surviving are her nephews, Keith Williams and wife, Betty, of Charlotte; and Clark Williams of Raleigh. She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm Eakes who died in 2003, and her sisters, Pauline Casey and Hazel C. Williams. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 13, from the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Raleigh. Friends may visit prior to the service from 10-10:45 AM in the church.
