Dora Lee Dickerson Adcock, 86, of Oxford, NC died early Saturday morning, February 27, 2021. She was born in Granville County on February 14, 1935 to her now predeceased parents, Furnie O. Dickerson, and Laurie N. Kearney Dickerson.
Dora Lee was a member of Hester Baptist Church and worked as an Office Manager for Waste Industries, Inc. in Oxford and was a Certified Substitute Teacher.
Mrs. Adcock is survived by her daughters, Lisa Jean Adcock of Oxford, NC, and Julie Adcock Ferrell (Jimmy) of Zebulon, NC; grandson, James Peyton Ferrell; brother, Bob N. Dickerson (Ellen) of Lexington, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dora Lee is also survived by many more loving extended family members and friends.
Mrs. Adcock is the widow of Roy T. Adcock; and predeceased by her sister, Dorothy “Dot” Watson; and brothers, Ormond Dickerson, Bryson Dickerson, and Carlton Dickerson.
A drive-thru visitation will be RESCHEDULED for a later date.
A private memorial service will be held for the family with Rev. Jeff Hensley officiating.
