Oxford: Donald H.???Chico??? Currin, 74, of Oxford went to be with his family and Savior on Friday March 4, 2016. Chico was a native of Granville County, son of the late William Hayes and Mary Geneva Cole Currin, and a member of Oxford Baptist Church. He was preceded ineeath by his sister Alice Grey Currin and his brother Harold A. Currin. Chico is survived by his two daughters Janet Rodriguez (Frank) and Lyneey Currin; Three grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, and Gillian Rodriguez; and his special lady friend and companion Shirley Karpf. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday March 8, 2016 in the Funeral Chapel of Gentry ??? neell & Vaughan Funeral Home by the Reverend Terry Howard. Burial will follow in the Hester Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 12:30 ??? 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home prior to the service. Chico Currin always lived life to the fullest. There was neer a dull moment whenee was around and his fun loving spirit made him the life of the party. He loved to hunt, listen to beach music, and Shag. Chico will be remembered by those closest to him for always doing things his way, even whenee shouldn???t, and livineeach day of his life with no regrets.
