David Leon Hart

David Leon Hart Sr, 75, Entered His eternal Life on June 16th, 2020. He was born in Baltimore, MD on May 28th, 1945 to the late Oscar Leon Hart, and Mary Alice Dezern Hart. He spent His early years as an oil truck driver, and He later in life found His passion for security work, which He did for roughly 20 years before retiring. He greatly enjoyed the blessing of being able to experience the love of not only His great grandchildren, but also His great-great grandchild. David is survived by two sisters Jeanie Jerrell of Durham NC, Martha Smith and husband Arvis of Durham NC. His two son’s, David Hart Jr. (Bubba) and wife Candy Hart of Durham NC, and son Johnny Thompson of Durham NC. He is also survived by His granddaughter Shannon Flowers, and Brittani Johnson, grandson’s David Thompson, Frank Tolotta, Michael Hart, Nichols Thompson, great grandchildren Za’Keara Williamson, Za’Vion Flowers, and great-great granddaughter Kinsley Bass. He was proceeded in death by His mother Mary Alice Dezern Hart, father Oscar Leon Hart, brother Ralph Meacham, His loving wife Carolyn Marie Hart, and one son Thurman Eugene Thompson. The family will hold a private service on Monday June 22nd, 2020 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Services located at
1113 W. Main St. Durham, NC 27701, with viewing beginning at 10am, service at 11am, and burial to follow at Wayside Baptist Church, in Hillsborough NC.
