Darla Hope Casner

Darla Hope Warne Casner, age 82, went to meet her Lord and Savior on October 17, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Chauncy Delmer Warne and Florence Jackson Warne from Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Darla was born on May 4, 1941, and lived a full and prosperous life.

Darla met and married her late husband of 60 years, Donald Eugene Casner and raised two beautiful children that gave her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored and loved immensely.

Darla is survived by her daughter, Lorri Christine Casner Basara and her son, Kenneth Alan Casner and his spouse, Lauren Ashley. She leaves behind 6 beautiful grandchildren, Kassie Elizabeth Casner (Zack McGinnis), Titus William Casner (Riley Bane Casner), Ellie Hope Casner, Creed Alan Casner, Zebulon Rhett Casner and Noah Aaron Basara (Emma) and 3 amazing great grandchildren, Aaron Joshua Torresvalle, Gabriel Dean Basara and Oliver Grayson Basara and soon to arrive, Huff Alan Casner. She will be missed by many extended family and friends too numerous to name.

A visitation will be held for family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan, 503 College Street, Oxford, NC. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Gentry Newell & Vaughan Chapel at 10:00 am and will be officiated by Rev. Brett Spiers and Pastor Dub Karriker. Burial to follow at the family farm. All are welcome.
