OXFORD: Dalton L. "Gill" Gillis, Jr. 60 died Friday June 18, 2010. A native of Person Co. and he was the son of the late Dalton L. and Frances Clayton Gillis. Gill was an avid Harley enthusiast and NASCAR fan. He was very happy with life and had a fairy tale like marriage with his wife Kathie. He was a member of New Horizons Baptist Church and Gill had many, many friends aneenjoyed doing things for others. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at New Horizons Baptist Church by the Rev. Cam Ford. Burial will be ineersoneemorial Cemetery in Roxboro. Surviving is his wife, Kathleen M. Gillis; sons, David Lee GillisAnita of Ashboro, Frank Ferrare of Mt. Laurel, NJ; daughters, Lana DavisNathan of Raleigh, Florette RileyKevin of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Amanda Gillis of Greensboro; sister Joan BodnarRichard of South Hampton, NJ; three grandsons, Kyle L Gillis, Damien Davis and Liam Riley; granddaughter Addison Davis; two Aunts, Anee Lou Davis aneemily Davis, several nieces , nephews and cousins; his life time friend, Joe Poplawski of Edgewater Park, NJ. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 until 8:30 at the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral. At other times they will be at the home.
