“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty”
Psalm 91:1

It is with great sadness that the Norman,Tolbert, David, and Herron families announce
the home going of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunty, niece, and sister, Mrs.
Christine Augusta Tolbert-Norman, affectionately called CTN. Her transition to glory
took place on June 23rd, 2021 at 3pm in Cary, North Carolina, following a 14 year battle
with cancer. She was surrounded by the love and support of her family. CTN was in
her 77th year.

CTN was a strong woman of faith, follower of Jesus, an international educator, humanitarian,
entrepreneur, public servant, and agent of transformative change. She touched
the lives of countless people, made friends wherever she went, and exuded a positive,
passionate, and exuberant spirit.

Mrs. Christine Tolbert Norman leaves to mourn her husband of 51 years, Mr. Laurence
Cecil Norman, their three consanguineal children Dr. Carnley Laurence Norman (Soenda)
, Mr. Baimba Cecil Norman (Vivian), and Dr. Maavi Allen Norman (Lisa), other children
(Mr. James Armah (Joyce), Mr. Raphael Tolbert Bomosy(Esther), Mr. Samuel Horace
(Anita), Mr. Ezekiel Tolbert Norman, Ms. Marbue Cornelia Norman, and Mrs. Rita
Ronwongi (Jerry),16 grandchildren, siblings, and many other extended family members
and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, President William R. Tolbert Jr. (20th President of
the Republic of Liberia), her mother, Mrs. Victoria Anna David-Tolbert, brother, Adolphus
Benedict Tolbert, and sisters Victoria Tolbert-Yancy and Evelyn Tolbert-Richardson.

May her soul rest in eternal peace!
