Mrs. Charlotte Ferrell Bonner Dudley, wife of the late James William Bonner and wife of the late Frank Thomas Dudley, passed away in Charlotte on June 28. She was a life-long resident of Durham and received her education in the Durham City School system and at the Uneersity of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Charlotte was a former member of Temple Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.??At the time of her death, she was a member of Epworth Uneed Methodist Church. She was active in various areas of the church, serving as Altar Guild Chairman for twenty years, member of the Board of Trustees, member of the Administrative Board and worship committee, and usher. She worked for the B.C. Remedy Co., Duke Hospital, aneepworth Uneed Methodist Church kindergarten and received the Civinette of the Year award in 1965.?? Charlotte was also a devoted homemaker and a talented artist. Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Lynn Bonner Pitts and her husband Ralph of Charlotte and her son, Mark Bonner and his wife Diane of Mebane; grandchildren John Pitts (Meredith), Will Pitts (Sarah), Sam Pitts, Andy Pitts, Lucy Pitts, Matt Bonner, and Carr Bonner; and great-grandchildren Harper Pitts and Jayden Pitts. The family will conduct a private memorial service ineelebration of Charlotte???s life.
