Charles Lineerg Poe

Charles Lineerg Poe, 81, died oneednesday, September 29, 2010. Charles was born in Durham, NC to the late Lottie and I.V. Poe on neember 23, 1928. Charles was a wonderful man that enjoyed any reason to spend time outdoors. He was an honeed veteran of WWII and was so proud of the time that he served as a Marine. Charles is survived by his sons Gerald Poe and his wife Sue of Bahama, NC, Kenneth Poe of Durham, NC, Kelly Poe of Burlington, NC, and Charles Poe, Jr. of Havelock, NC; daughter Jill Sexton and her husband Jerry of New Iberia, LA; grandchildren Daniel Sexton, Melody Sexton, Trey Poe and Justin Poe; sister Mary Elliott; brothers Ivey Poe, Jr. and Bobby Poe and his wife Mary Frank. Charles is predeceased by Gladys Poe and Betty Poe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charles's nee may be made to Duke Home Care and Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Dr., Durham 27704. Please include "Hock Family Pavilion" on the memo line of your check. A memorial ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from the chapel at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W.
