Charles Henry Allen

Charles Henry Allen, age 86, of 4014 Berini Drive, died Friday evening at Durham Regional Hospital. He was borneeptember 27, 1919 in Bunneevel, NC to Carlton & Josephine Byrd Allen. He retired from Liggett&Myers Tobacco Co. and served his country in the US Navy during WW II. Charles was an avid golfer and attended Durham Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Ruth Faucette Allen, his children, Ron Allen & wife Paula, of San Diego, CA; Martha Allen Jones & husband Gerald of Mebane, NC; sister, Margaret Kelly of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren; Angela Mann of Graham, NC, Joni Carter of Verona, VA, and Brett & Autumn Allen of San Diego, CA; and great grandchildren; James, Abby, Thomas & Elisabeth Mann, John Luke, Micah, Zechariah & Anna Beth Carter. The visitation will be at Hall Wynne Funeral Service from 3-5 PM Sunday. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday in Maplewood Cemetery.
