Catherine Martin Wynneevans

Catherine Martin Wynneevans, 87, died Sunday at Durham Regional Hospital. Born in Princeton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Judge G.A. and Mary Ida Martin. She grew up in Smithfield and graduated from Smithfield High School. She graduated from WCUNC now UNC-G and beganeer 22 year teaching career in Johnston County and later in the Durham County School system. She taught at Braggtown School, Glenn School where she spent a majority of her career and Carrington Jr. High. Mrs. Evans was an elder of First Presbyterian Church of Durham where she taught Sunday school for 2 years. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Women, serving on many committees and offices, including president. In 1983, she was director of the Synod Presbyterian Women
