Carolyn "Sue" Strickland Nason

DURHAM - Carolyn ???Sue??? Strickland Nason, 71, of Durham passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Friday, December 8, 2017. Born April 30, 1946 to Melvin Graham and Banna Lanham Strickland, she resided in Durham with her loving husband of 52 years, Robert ???Bob??? Nason. Along with her family, she loved life, especially singing and watching her birds. Sue is survived by her husband, Bob, her son, Wayne Nason (Suzanne); her daughter, Lisa Nason Swartz (Mark); her brother, Jimmie Strickland (Hazel) as well as five grandchildren, Chaneer and Bennett Nason, Jordan, Zachary and Sarah Hornaday. Along with her parents, she was preceded ineeath by her brothers, Ronee, Wayne and William Strickland. Ineeeping with Sue???s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Memorials ineer honor may be made to Duke Homecare and Hospice or Wounded Warriors. The Nason family is under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.
