Carolee Peacock

May 4, 1944 — October 13, 2022

On October 13, 2022, heaven welcomed home a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Carolee Mavy Peacock.

She was born May 4, 1944, to Carol Arlow Mavy and Mary Kelley Mavy in Gridley, CA. Carolee, the second of five children, grew up in Northern, CA surrounded by her grandparents Christopher Kip Mavy and Priscilla Marie Guptill Mavy, Guy Darris Kelley and Elda Giles Kelley, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was married 52 years to her sweetheart Bret Peacock and is survived by her 5 children: Aaron Dean Peacock (Atina), Darcy Lynn Boden (Stephen), Krista Alice Edwards (Ken), Kellie Deanna Peacock, and Ashley Brett Queen (Stephen), 13 grandchildren, their spouses, 9 great grandchildren, with one on the way, her mother Mary Mavy, brothers Christopher Mavy (Carolyn) and Jack Mavy, her sister Deanna Mavy Elison (Bary), a host of nieces and nephews, and her foster daughter, Norma Quintero. A graduate of Roseville High School, Carolee worked as a nurse’s aide at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento, as well as an administrative assistant for an ophthalmologist. She was a life-long volunteer including the USO, several PTAs, hospital auxiliaries, and booster clubs. She coached softball, was score keeper for her daughter’s volleyball team, and opened her arms and home to foster babies and teens. She was an avid reader and loved a good 1,000-piece puzzle. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the Primary, Youth and Women’s organizations and enjoyed genealogy work. She was devoted to her family and a fierce protector of those she loved.

Carolee will be buried in Grantsville Cemetery in Grantsville, UT next to her husband and granddaughter.
