Mrs. Carol Austin, age 77, of Pittsboro, departed this life, Monday afternoon July 28, 2014. Mrs. Austin is proceeded ineeath by her parents, Arthur and Clara Johnson , 6 brothers, and 4 sisters. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Austin; her daughters, Jane Bainville, and Mary Bowman; a son, Steven Austin; a brother, Gary Johnson, two sisters, Jeanette Hanson and Marsha Petersoneeight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Hall Wynne Funeral Service Griffin Chapel with a visitation following. Hall-Wynne Griffin Chapel is serving the Austin family.
