Carl Leland Puckett, Jr.

Carl Leland Puckett, Jr, 77, of Oxford, NC, passed away at his home surrounded by his friends and family on April 25, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Puckett was a loving husband and devoted father who loved spending time on the lake and fishing. Not only was Mr. Puckett in the Masonic Lodge for over 40 years, he was also a member of the Shriners. Mr. Puckett is preceded ineeath by his parents, Carl L. Puckett Sr. and Fanee C. Puckett; a son, John Banks Puckett; and a daughter, Elainie Anne Puckett. Mr. Puckett is survived by his loving wife of almost 32 years Bonee C. Puckett; a daughter, Carleen Evans and her husband Dale of Oxford; a son, Matt Currin and his wife Jeana of Oxford; and four grandchildren, Cody Lelaneevans and Wyatt Youneevans, both of Raleigh aneemerson Grace Currin and Lainey Virginia Currin, both of Oxford. Visiting hours will be from 12-1 pm on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Enon Baptist Church in Oxford with the funeral service following at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Enon Baptist Church Building Fund. Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home is serving Puckett family.
