Carl Douglas Strickland

BULLOCK: Carl Douglas Strickland, age 61, of Bullock, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at his home. A native of Durham County, he was the son of the late Ronald Harrison and Inez McLamb Strickland. He was a retired pipe fitter supervisor and a graduate of Northern High School in Durham. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Bullock Baptist Church by Rev. Tony Futrell. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center of the church. Surviving are is his son, Scotty B. Strickland of Bullock; his brothers, Williams H. Strickland and Larry D. Strickland both of Durham, Roy B. Strickland of Oxford; his sisters, Mamie S. Altemose of Hartsville, SC, Mary D. Strickland of Durham and his grandson, Timothy King of Bullock. He was predeceased by a brother, James A. Strickland.
