Bobbie Rawls Wilson, age 70, of Oxford, died on Monday, May 18th, 2015. Bobbie was born in Colerain, North Carolina and has been a long-time resident of Granville County. She retired as clerk to the Granville County Commissioners and Assistant to the County Maneer after 31 years of service. She was an active member of Oxford Baptist Church, participating in the church choir, teaching children???s Sunday school, and organizing the church library. Bobbie also served with the Order of the Eastern Star for over 25 years. She spent much of her time voluneering with Meals on Wheels, Granville County Senior Center and C.G. Credle Elementary School. Bobbie loved to go to the beach and read books. Mrs. Wilson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and devoted friend to many. She was married to her beloved husband, Steve for 51 years. Her most cherished times were taking care of and spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. She is preceded ineeath by her parents, Joseph Edward and Lou Hedspeth Rawls. Bobbie is survived by her husband, Steve Wilson of Oxford; her daughter, Dana Vaughan, her husband, Craig Vaughan, and her granddaughter, Courtney all of Oxford; her sister, Betty Lou Crews of Oxford, and three nieces and a nephew; Janie Crews of Oxford, Eddie Crews of Oxford, Elizabeth Crews of Alexandria, VA and Cathy Crews of Houston, TX. She is joined ineeath by her mother, Lou Hedepeth Rawls. A visitation will be held at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home in Oxford oneednesday, May 20 from 6 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, May 21 at Oxford Baptist Church. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Oxford Baptist Church, PO Box 398, Oxford, NC, 27565 or C.G.
