Blanee O. Kyles

Blanee O'Briant Kyles, age 90, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 ineer Durham home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was born in Chapel Hill to the late Samuel and Bertha Blackwood O'Briant. A charter member of Hope Valley Baptist Church, Blanee enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Blanee is survived by her son, Gary Matthew Kyles and wife, Mary, of Durham; her daughter, Lynn K. Pendergraft and husband, Franee, of Prospect Hill, NC; her sister, Mina Kyles of Durham; four grandchildren, Keith Pendergraft, Scott Kyles, Kristy Pendergraft Haigh and Lori Kyles Gentry; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Austin A. Kyles. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 16, at Hope Valley Baptist Church with the Reverends Tom Jackson and Susan Pasour presiding. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the church.
