Billy Roger Triplett

Billy Roger Triplett, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Duke University.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Viles J. Triplett and Dessie Marie Chrissman Triplett and one daughter, Billie Dawn.

Billy was a retired local truck driver of 43 years. He was employed by Fredrickson Motor Express for a long time and retired from SAIA Motor Freight in 2008. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School from 2007 to current and he served as a deacon and chairman of deacons for two terms. Billy loved his church and church family. Billy served in Antioch-Fishing Creek Volunteer Fire Department from 2004 to current.

Billy is survived by his wife, Susan Moss Triplett, the love of his life. They were married for 25 years. He is also survived by one son, James Triplett; a daughter, Robin Eller and two grandchildren; one brother, Arnold Triplett (Wilma) and brother-in-law, Stanley Moss and sister-in-law, Teresa M. Carden, nieces and nephews and friends too numerous to name.

The memorial service will be held March 27, 2023, at 2:00 pm and will be a graveside service at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. William Wheeler officiating. The family will have a visitation in the Fellowship Hall of Providence Baptist Church from 1:00 to 1:45 for friends and family to visit.
