Billy Edgar Lindsey

Billy “Bill” Edgar Lindsey passed away peacefully on January 17th, 2022 at the age of 87, in Durham, North Carolina. 

Bill was born on November 14th, 1934, near Sevierville, Tennessee. He played football at the University of Tennessee under Coach Neyland, and Kansas State, before enlisting in the United States Army. 

A man of dedication, discipline, and drive, Bill quickly climbed the ranks at American Hospital Supply before finding his true passion in the late 60’s - commercial real estate sales and subsequently self storage. 

However, a lifelong career in his favorite industry would have meant nothing without the addition of his wife, Jean, in 1983, and his two sons, Alan and John (Sydney), shortly thereafter. 

Bill will be remembered for his electric smile, warm-hearted personality, and his unwavering love and support of his family. 

Together, the two boys have carried on Bill’s legacy in the self storage industry with their mother, Jean.
