Betty O’Brien Pegram, 88, of Oxford, NC died Tuesday, September 1, 2020. She was born in Granville County on July 16, 1932 to her predeceased parents, Dorsey and Tazzie Blackwell.
Mrs. Pegram was a long-time employee with Russell Stover. After many years of service, she retired from her position as supervisor.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Darlene Weary and Sue Lavenia Vaughan; grandchildren, Cindy Sadler (Barry), Michael Weary (Tanya), and Jennifer Boyd (Josh); great grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa, Adison, Trevor, Ronan, Alex, Ella, and Jolene. Betty is also survived by siblings, Yvonne Weeks, and A.D. Blackwell (Lelia); and many other loving extended family members and friends.
Mrs. Pegram is predeceased by her first husband, Calvin Vaughan; second husband, Al Pegram; son, C. Barry Vaughan; parents; and siblings, Adelle Bentley, Jane Holden, and Gwendolyn Winston.
A private family graveside service will be held at Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Cameron Currin officiating.
