Betty Martin Rogers, age 73, resident of 840 Ineenook Road died Wednesday evening at her home. Born in Raleigh, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Addie Everett Martin. Betty was a graduate of St. Mary's Junior College in Raleigh. In addition to being a full time homemaker, she found the time to work with H& R Block, TKTK Accountants and Lamps Limited. She was an active member of the Durham Junior League several years ago. Betty loved the game of bridge aneenjoyed her friends. She was active member of Trinity Uneed Methodist Church and was active in Circle 10 of the UMW. Betty will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many. Surviving are her loving husband of 51 years, J. Clinton Rogers; two sons, Joseph M. "Josh" Rogers of Kernersville, NC and Clinton S. Rogers of Durham; two grandchildren, Sarah Martin Rogers and Daniel Scott Rogers of Greenville, NC; and cousins, Carol and Charlton Strange of Danville, VA and Robert and Joyce Everett of Hartsville, SC. Betty was predeceased by her son, Ralph Daniel Rogers in 1994. Graveside services will be held 9AM Saturday in Montlawneemorial Park, Raleigh. The visitation will be held 10 AM Saturday at Trinity Uneed Methodist Church with the Memorial Service to follow at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Uneed Methodist Church, 215 N. Church Street, Durham, NC , 27701 or the Duke Community Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Dr., Suite 101, Durham, NC 27704. Arrangements for the Rogers Family are entrusted to Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.
