Betty Gooch, 78, died on Friday, May 11, 2012. Betty was born in Durham, NC to Douglas Wendell and Gladys Vaughn Stafford oneebruary 21, 1934. Betty was a loving mother and friend to anyone that she had the opportunity to come in contact with. Betty worked in Durham as an Assembler of Electronics and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Durham, NC. "She was a loving woman that would do anything to put a smile on the faces of her family and friends." Betty is survived by her husband of 58 years Robert Owen Gooch of Hillsborough, NC; sons Robert Douglas Gooch and friend Judy of Hillsborough, NC, Kenneth James Gooch and wife Susan of Hillsborough, NC; one sister Gwen McLaurin of Gulf Shores, AL; two grandchildren Stephanie and Brittany Gooch; one great-grandchild Brenan Gooch. A Funeral Service will be offered 11:00 AM Monday, May 14, 2012 from Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 549 Erwin Road, Durham, NC 27707. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit from 6:00 8:00 on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main Street, Durham, NC 27701.
