Austin Scott Jones

OXFORD: Austin Scott Jones, age 19 died Saturday August 14, 2010. He was a native of Granville County and was the son of Richard Scott Jones and Susan Barnes Jones. Austin was a member of Tabbs Creek Baptist Church, a graduate of J. F. Webb High School and was attending Vance Granville Community College. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday August 17, at 11:00 AM in Tabbs Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. John Yount and the Rev. Kenneth Compton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Richard Holden Jones of Oxford; paternal grandmother Barbara Jones of Oxford; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Tery Barnes of Henderson. He was preceded ineeath by his paternal grandfather Lewis Roy Jones, Sr. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 until 8:30 at the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home.
