Ashleigh Ryann Gwin

Ashleigh Ryann Gwin, 5 year old daughter of Howard and Michelle, passed away on Thursday, neember 29, 2007, at Duke Uneersity Hospital from complications of Krabbe Leukodystrophy. Besides her parents, Ashleigh is survived by her big sister Mackenee, her maternal grandparents Helen and Walt Mathis, her paternal grandparents Bill and Sharon Bain, her paternal great-grandparents Charlotte aneernest Snow, and a host of aunts, unees, cousins, and friends who miss and love her very much. Ashleigh was born on neember 15, 2002, in Woodbury, New Jersey, and was diagneed with Krabbe Leukodystrophy on June 13, 2003. Ashleigh and her family came to Duke where she received treatment on August 27, 2003. Ashleigh is a true hero to us all as she fought this disease for 5 years. She will be missed by many but will remain in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held 5:30 pm Monday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Chapel., Durham, NC. Dr. Lloyd V. Braswell will preside. Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 pm Monday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.
