Arthur “Chuck” Wayne Reveal, 69, of Cross Lanes, West Virginia died March 1, 2025, at Duke University Medical Center after courageously battling an illness. As the cup he kept in the hospital stated, he was the “best dad ever.” Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Romeo and Rena, and brother Robert. Chuck is survived by his daughter and son in love, Jessica and Alan, wife Theresa, siblings Patty Moss, Dave, Mike and many more loving family members and friends.
While his home state was West Virginia, he spent much of his adult life in North Carolina where he raised his daughter and worked at Duke University Medical Center for many years. He was very passionate about his work in sterile processing, record retention, and recycling. Some of his favorite memories were his work with the Teddy Bear Ball and Duke Children’s Classic over the years.
To know Chuck was to love him. He never knew a stranger and walked a selfless path offering assistance to anyone in need. He loved to share stories, recipes and crack jokes, even during the darkest times. God has walked alongside him all the days of his earthly life and now he is singing with the angels in no pain and no worries.
Chuck’s joy of the day card in the hospital for March 1st fit well for his transition. “God’s power is great enough for our deepest desperation. You can go on, you can pick up the pieces and start anew. You can face your fears.”
There is great comfort and joy after this earthly life and while those left behind will miss him more than words can say, we take comfort in knowing he is watching over us.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date to be held in West Virginia.
