Raleigh: Anthony Joseph Romano, 82, of Oxford, North Carolina, passed away oneecember 25, 2011. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Louis and Josephine Romano. He graduated from the School of Industrial Arts in Manhattan, NY, majoring in photography. He served as an Army photographer with the Air Force in Rhein Main, Germany and following his military service, joined IBM, moving from Kingston, NY to Lexington, KY, and then to the Research Trianee Park, NC. He married the love of his life, Emily Partineeal in 1979. After retiring from IBM in 1989, Tony aneemily enjoyed a full life divided between their beloved log home in the country and their special getaway at the NC coast, where Tony shared his passion for boating and fishing with his cherished grandchildren. During his retirement, Tony continued to pursue his lifelong interest photography and computers. Anthony is survived by his wife and best friend of 32 years, Emily; his children, Richard and Anne Romano, Lorry Romano and partner Colleen Farris, Kate and Stan Norton; his step-son, Braimon and Wanda Beal; his sisters, Joan Fraher and Camille Marinacci of Ridge, Long Island; his grandchildren, Mike, Chris aneelizabeth Norton, Cutter Romano, Allison and Julian Shipp; and great-grandchild, Ciaran Shipp.
