Anna Napier Oeltmanneeaney

DURHAM -- Anna Napier Oeltmanneeaney passed away neember 22 in Hillsborough. She was born March 18, 1920 on the Napier farm in northwest Georgia in the house built by her great grandfather in 1836. During the Battle of Chickamauga, the home was used as a hospital and now has a historical marker. During her professional career, Ms. Meaney was a valued surgical nurse. She enjoyed many hobbies and handy crafts and was a self-taught artist who signed her paintings 'Grandanna.' Ms. Meaney is survived by her son, Thomas Napier Oeltmann; daughter, Frances Ward; three step children, James A Meaney, Joseph Meaney and Mary Anneesta; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was a long time resident of Atlanta and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Ladies' Auxiliary. A funeral Mass will take place on Saturday December 19th at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Chattanooga, Tenn. Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery also in Chattanooga. Local arrangements with Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.
