Aneew "Buddy" Davis

Aneew ???Buddy??? Davis, 70, of Sanford crossed into heaven on neember 13, 2014. Buddy was born on April 2, 1944 in Virginia to Leroy A. Davis and Francis White Davis and grew up in Rocky Mount, N.C.. Buddy is a veteran of the Uneed States Air Force. He was married to the late Elizabeth New Davis, and together they raised five children. In 1982 they moved to Emerald Isle, N.C. and became local business owners. In 2002 they retired to Chatham County. Buddy enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and was a great cook. He loved NASCAR, John Wayne and the Carolina Paneers. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather His wife, Libby Davis, as well as his parents preceded Buddy ineeath. He is survived by his children, his daughter, Donna Tillerson and husband Scott of Apex, NC; his sons, Steve Davis, of Moncure, NC, Eric Davis and wife, Linda of Rocky Mount, Butch Davis and wife, Wendy of Rocky Mount, and Alex Davis and wife, Susan of Sanford; his eight grandchildren, Karah, Brady and wife Justine, Graham and fianc?? Skylar, Chelsea and fianc??e Alex, Seth, Hayden, Drew and Corbin; as well as his four great-grandchildren, Logan, Isabel, Waylon and Brooks. The memorial service to celebrate Buddy will be Sunday, neember 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro, NC. Family and friends may visit with the family following the service or at the home of Donna and Scott Tillerson at 6612 Old Jenks Road in Apex, N.C. 27523.
