Anee Mae Dodd High died at the age of 99 years old on October 30, 2017 at the Durham Nursing and Rehabilitationeenter. Anee Mae Dodd High was the daughter of Clarence aneemma Cox Dodd born on March 7, 1918, in Durham, NC. She worked for the American Tobacco Company for 37 years. Uponeetirement, she went to work for Kerr Drug Store for another twenty years. Uponeeaving the drug store she worked as an in-home sitter for the elderly. She was a devout member of the Aneer Avenue Baptist Church, where she served as youth director for many years. She then joined the Five Oaks Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and remained a devout member until her passing. She was a member of the 1918 Club and loved to travel with the club to Canada, San Diego, Colorado, Hollywood Florida, and Munich, Germany. She is survived by her children, Norman C. High (Hiam) of Durham and Diane High Matthis (Steve) of Stem. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Stacey Mangum, Steven L Matthis. Jr, Jeff M. Matthis, Ahmad M??nsoor, and Noor M??nsoor, her six great grandchildren, Janeeneebb, Devin Miles, Chelsie Young, Chris Mangum, Aneew Mangum and Brileigh Matthis, and nephew Ronald Wilson, niece Delores Malone, and great-niece & nephew Lisa Glover and Brad Malone. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Leo Claude High, her brothers and sister, Clarence ???Wallace??? Dodd, James Dodd and Katie Lou Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, neember 7, 2017 at Woodlawneemorial Park in Durham.
