Anee Louise Philpot Couch

Anee Louise Philpott Couch, 92, died Monday May 9, 2005 in Durham Regional Hospital. Mrs. Couch was the daughter of the late John James Philpott and Nanee Bell Bryant Philpott. She was a resident of Carver Living Center for the last 8 years where she received the loving care of a dedicated staff. Mrs. Couch was a member of Yates Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Couch was preceded ineeath by her husband of 62 years, Lamon S. Couch, her son, S. Wayne Couch, her brother Gerald B. Philpott and her sister Inez P. Davis. Surviving are her son J. Edwin Couch and his wife, Ruth of Durham, daughters Carolyn C. Gwaltney and husband, Richard of Oak Ridge, Tenn and Linda C. Cunningham and husband, Richard of Stamford, CT; daughter-in-law Elaine S. Couch of Roxboro and a brother-in-law Foy K. Couch and wife, Eloise of Durham, 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday from Yates Baptist Church, with The Rev. John Frederick and Rev. Dr. Donald Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark E. Couch, Ricky W. Couch, Keith B. Couch, Michael E. Couch, David A. Gwaltney and Richard E. Cunningham. Friends may visit 7 to 9 PM Thursday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service. The family will be at the residence of her soneedwin Couch 3905 Page Road Durham County, Morrisville.
