Amelia Bensan Young

Amelia Bensan Young, age 77, died Saturday, December 3, 2011, ineer Durham home surrounded by her loving family. A native of the Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Justo and Juana Daga Bensan. Mrs. Young was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Young is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Kai W. Young of Durham, NC; her sons, Vincent Young and wife, Davoren, of Ann Arbor, MI; and Timothy Young and wife, Kelly, of Raleigh, NC; one brother, Modesto Bensan; two sisters, Florencia Madarang and Ursula Domrique, all of the Philippines; four grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Taylor and Faith Young; and cousin, Jose D. Angeles of Boston, MA. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 11:30AM Wednesday from St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Scott McCue presiding. Burial will follow in Markham Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham.
