Alma Thomas Crutchfiled

Alma Thomas Crutchfield, 91 of 759 Sanford Rd, died Friday, April 9, 2010 in Laurels of Chatham. Born in Chatham County oneecember 15, 1918, Mrs. Crutchfield was the daughter of Frank and Kate Thomas. She was a member of Pittsboro Baptist Church for over 65 years and retired from UNC Hospital, Steril supply department. She was preceded ineeath by a son, Jimmy Crutchfield, two sisters, Mary Clark and Hazel McDonald and two brothers, Bernee Thomas and Raymond Thomas. Surviving is her husband of 72 years, Talton Crutchfield; her daughter, Faye Crutchfield of Charlottesville, Va; a daughter-in-law, Faye of Florida; and a niece Vicky Thomas Oldham of Pittsboro. Three grandchildren, Leanne Battle of Richmond, Va; John Battle of Tallassee, Al; and Mike Crutchfield of Ft. Meyers, Fl. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Pittsboro Baptist Church in Pittsboro, conducted by Dr. Tripp Harmon and Rev. Ray Gooch. Interment will follow in Pittsboro Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 6:00 8:00 pm Sunday.
