Raleigh Alec George Lapadula, passed away unexpectedly oneebruary 16, 2018 at Rex Memorial Hospital, Raleigh, NC. Alec was born on April 29, 1997 in Mount Holly, NJ to Ronald and Tina Lapadula. He was a high school graduate, a hard worker, and an avid gamer. He loves his family, friends and co-workers and always had an enigmatic grin. Alec enjoyed playing open world games where he could escape into an alternee reality. Some of his favorite games included The Legend of Zelda, GTA: Online, 7 Days to Die, Minecraft, The Tales Series, and the Elder Scrolls Series, however, he played aneenjoyed many more. Alec also had an intense passion for anee and watching YouTube. Among the shows and channels that he watched, his favorites included Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Tokyo Ghoul, Vanoss Gaming, and Cow Chop. When Alec wasn't playing video games or watching anee he was at work... probably watching anee or popping into chat with his friends. During high school Alec made a tryineeffort to compete in cross country, putting out impressive times despite his poor athletic skills. Alec was very protective of his family and very loving of them. Anytime his sister or mom needed him, he was there. Alec was his father's best friend, almost an exact replica. Like his father, Alec was a work-a-holic and always enjoyed going in and talking with his co-workers. His work ethic was one of the most admirable things about Alec, as he would almost always make work his top priority. As far as adventures go, Alec had quite a few, that while to some may seem dull, he enjoyed immensely. He enjoyed going to the mountains to hang out with his friends and go snowboarding, going on a road trip to New Jersey to see friends and family, going to Charlotte for a Yu-Gi-Oh! tourneent, and going out and playing airsoft with his best friends Triston and Zach. Alec also took pleasure in going camping with his friends, creating funny videos for others to view online, and going to anee and gamineevents such as Raleigh Supercon and he even had plans to attend the Raleigh Comicon coming in March. Like most of his family, Alec collected different things. He loved to collect swords, knees, Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon cards, gaming figurines, as well as all kinds of trinkets and gadgets. He would often say that he was "weak of body strong of mind" when challenged with the obstacles he faced day in and day out. Alec is survived by his father and mother, Ronald and Tina of Stem; his sister, Alexis of Stem and grandparents Vincent Lapadula of Pemberton, NJ, George and Shirley Allen of Hainesport, NJ.
