Abner Benton Pope, Jr.

Abner Benton Pope, Jr. died at his home Saturday morning on January 14, 2017 at the age of 92. He was born to Abner Benton Pope Sr. and Vera Pickett Pope on July 30, 1924 in Durham, NC. He retired from Durham Exchange Club Industries after 26 years and was a member of Braggtown Baptist Church. Survivors include his sister; Carolyn Hinson of Creedmoor, NC, brothers; Clyde R. Pope of Durham, NC, aneearl Pope of Charlotte, NC. The family extends their gratitude to Duke Hospice for their care of Abner. A graveside service will be at Maplewood Cemetery on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 11 am.
