Jean Bass

Durham – Jean Roberts Bass, age 82, died in Durham, North Carolina on September 14, 2023. She was born in Durham on September 22, 1941 to the late Harold G. Roberts and Gladys Cates Roberts. Jean peacefully reunited with her beloved husband, John on September 14, her late husband’s birthday.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Wendi Coheley and husband, Alan of Palm Coast, FL son, Michael Bass and husband, David Cico of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Brandon, Brenna, and River, her brother, Willam Alan Roberts, and her sister, Robyn Frid.

Jean was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Roberts.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, September 18, 2023 at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. Friends will visit from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday prior to the service in the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
